The Claremont-Lafayette United Presbyterian Church was founded on December 12, 1900, by Dr. George E. Cannon.
Lafayette Presbyterian Church came from humble beginnings in a storefront on Van Horne Street near Communipaw Ave. From there to Summit Ave and Ivy Place.
In 1972, the congregation merged with the Claremont Presbyterian Church at our current location thus creating Claremont-Lafayette United Presbyterian Church!
